What to expect from the consultation?

An initial consultation consists of taking an in-depth case history including details of the presenting complaint, the health of body systems and dietary analysis. The EDS (electrodermal screening) tests that are appropriate are carried out, whether it be food intolerance testing or measuring the strength of an organ. Daniela will then put together a report which involves a summary of her findings, details of the herbal remedies prescribed and a dietary plan. Herbal medicine that is suggested and this is given in the form of a bespoke liquid formulation typically of 5-6 herbs. These are sourced from European suppliers who under European law make herbal extracts to medicinal grade GMP standards. Follow up appointments are normally every two to four weeks where the progress is assessed and any changes made.

How long will it take to get better?

Recovery depends upon the severity of your condition. Although you may feel better soon after treatment, recovery typically takes approximately six weeks. In some cases it may take three to six months to reach optimum health. As a rule of thumb it takes one month for every year you have suffered from a symptom to reach full resolution.

Do I have to brew and drink horrible tasting teas?

No! Most herbs are prescribed in the form of tinctures or capsules. Tinctures are an liquid herbal extract that can be taken directly or mixed in water or juice. If teas are your thing though, my range of medicinal teas have been specially blended for their palatability as well as their effectiveness.

Is herbal medicine the same as homeopathy?

No, they are completely different. Homeopathy uses minute dilutions of a wide range of substances to energetically address illness. Herbal medicine uses phytochemicals and nutrients to physically and energetically effect on the body systems.
